In the late 1990's Simon was one of Jack Nicklaus/Jim Flick's accredited instructors in the UK, and spent 4 years of his career coaching all manner of people, from Total Beginners through to Tour Professionals including David Park, Garry Houston and Charles Challin.

Simon was also one of 14 UK delegates to the PGA of America coaching conference in New Orleans 1998, which enabled him to gain valuable information and insight into how the greatest coaches and instructors think and work with their pupils.

After leaving Nicklaus/Flick to pursue a playing career, Simon would play competitive golf in Europe, Asia and the United States from 2000 - 2004 including reaching Final Qualifying for The Open Championship 2002 and representing Great Britain in the President Of Russia Cup staged at Moscow Country Club.

Simon would have continued to play on Tour in 2004 but due to a shoulder injury relinquished his playing status. With the injury ultimately ending his playing career Simon returned to coaching predominantly in the UK and spent nearly a decade in Junior Golf Development in the UK.

While competing in Asia, Paul "St George" Slater asked Simon to work with him to create a swing that would capture the World Long Drive Record. During their partnership, Paul would achieve the goal of breaking the Runway Long Drive World Record at 744 yards, and then one year later, breaking it twice in 2 minutes at 844 and 884 yards. He would also go on to become English, Scottish as well as European Long Drive Champion during this time.

In November of 2013 Simon moved to Shanghai, China to develop and further grow the game of golf spending two and a half years as the Director of Asia - Pacific Player Development for Tiger Group (Golf) and as an Instruction Editor for GolfPunk Magazine.

While based in Shanghai, Simon worked with several promising Chinese players as well as working remotely with Leslie Cloots (Runner-Up 2014 Womens British Amateur Championship, Belgium National Team, UNC Women's Golf Team Member and now LPGA Symetra Tour Member).

Since relocating to the United States, Simon has maintained a coaching relationship with several of his Chinese players, including Liu Dao Zeng - Cleo (Tulane University), and still coaches Liu Jiao and Yu Rong on the China LPGA Tour as well as being an integral part of Leslie Cloots support team as she competes on the LPGA Symetra Tour and Ladies European Tour.

Simon is the author of #1 Best Seller "Simple Short Game" as well as "There Are No Secrets to Putting".
